Intro

It all begins with listening and observing. Few solutions plug and play from one company to another. For engagement to work, approaches need to be authentic and intentional. That takes discipline and loads of creativity but when the corner is turned, things become organic and ripples spread throughout an entire organization.

Don’t worry about following the pack — high functioning cultures are not mimiced or canned. Benchmarking has its place, but companies need to be corageous and carve their own paths. If properly treated, your story and uniqueness is what’s going to be teased out and amplified to stand out from the rest. Physical spaces reflect this, they do not build it.

My CV

I’ve taken on a variety of positions in the tech industry, where I’ve worked at three startups and two large tech companies. A common thread has been placing fingerprints on culture, engagement, buildng community, employee retention and attraction. I’ve been responsible for delivering everything from onsite services/amenities, program management, vendor management, the built environment, events, recognition, facility operations, and more.

I’m from Ohio but have been based in the San Francisco Bay Area for over twenty years. Fortunately, my spidey senses told me to blend Organizational Psychology and Interior Design backgrounds. This prepared me to always take a human centered approach and focus on creating solutions that solve needs, and simultaneously plaster a smile on participant’s faces.
